HOW TORRENT ACTUALLY WORKS

Just this past weeks ,I noticed that most of us hear of and use torrents w/0 actually understanding how it operates and sometimes we are locked up on one file which takes virtually the entire clarence day and yet dont come up with desired results .Now we will understand the operation of torrent and the best way to download torrent files

BitTorrent
BitTorrent is a protocol that enables fast downloading of large files using minimum Internet bandwidth. It costs nothing to use and includes no spyware or pop-up advertising.

Unlike other download methods, BitTorrent maximizes transfer speed by gathering pieces of the file you want and downloading these pieces simultaneously from people who already have them. This process makes popular and very large files, such as videos and television programs, download much faster than is possible with other protocols.

BitTorrent Speak
Like most Internet phenomena, BitTorrent has its own jargon. Some of the more common terms related to BitTorrent include:
  • Leeches - People who download files but do not share files on their own computer with others
  • Seed or seeder - A computer with a complete copy of a BitTorrent file (At least one seed computer is necessary for a BitTorrent download to operate.)
  • Swarm - A group of computers simultaneously sending (uploading) or receiving (downloading) the same file
  • .torrent - A pointer file that directs your computer to the file you want to download
  • Tracker - A server that manages the BitTorrent file-transfer process
Here's how it works:

BitTorrent's peer-to-peer download process
  • You open a Web page and click on a link for the file you want.
  • BitTorrent client software communicates with a tracker to find other computers running BitTorrent that have the complete file (seed computers) and those with a portion of the file (peers that are usually in the process of downloading the file).
  • The tracker identifies the swarm, which is the connected computers that have all of or a portion of the file and are in the process of sending or receiving it.
  • The tracker helps the client software trade pieces of the file you want with other computers in the swarm. Your computer receives multiple pieces of the file simultaneously.
  • If you continue to run the BitTorrent client software after your download is complete, others can receive .torrent files from your computer; your future download rates improve because you are ranked higher in the "tit-for-tat" system.
Downloading pieces of the file at the same time helps solve a common problem with other peer-to-peer download methods: Peers upload at a much slower rate than they download. By downloading multiple pieces at the same time, the overall speed is greatly improved. The more computers involved in the swarm, the faster the file transfer occurs because there are more sources of each piece of the file. For this reason, BitTorrent is especially useful for large, popular files.

Gravity Sheep Android Review for Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Just when you think you’ve seen all the cutest games on the planet, along comes another one, even cuter than the rest.

This is Gravity Sheep, a hapless ball of mutton and wool who needs your help to complete his quests. From the Overflow Studio farmyard, Gravity Sheep is a 2D physics game which has fun and challenging gameplay using your finger to draw boxes.

There are really only two stars of this game, the sheep and the mushroom. The sheep wants to eat the mushroom and needs you to help him do it.

It’s a simple enough game but with lots of challenging levels. Get it wrong and the sheep gets it. Not the mushroom but he takes a nosedive splat to the ground. It certainly gives you something to think about and it’s entertaining when you get it right.

You can do a few things to make your task easier, like draw longer lines, but the trade-off with that is the sheep becomes a lot heavier and, trust me, a heavy sheep isn’t going anywhere in a hurry, much less to eat a mushroom.

There are 45 levels in the full version but you can install a free to play version without any ads and when you’ve finished the game, if you keep it installed you can get new secret levels as they are released.
It’s very smooth to play on the Android phone and a great little pick-up-and-play title. We love it!

Flipboard Updated With Daydream Support For Android 4.2

Flipboard's release last summer was hotly anticipated to say the least. A recent update to utilize the screen real estate of Android tablets bumped the app up another notch, and today's update (to version 1.9.18) puts the icing on the cake. As of today, Flipboard has Daydream functionality for Android 4.2.

Daydream, when it was first introduced, seemed kind of boring (okay, you can look at a lovely animated gradient while charging). The feature was, to put it mildly, more fluff than substance. That said, as a Flipboard user, my opinion of the feature has suddenly shifted. Playing with multicolored jelly beans (while delightful) can now be replaced with actual information.

The settings for Flipboard's daydream are exceedingly simple – do you want to download new items automatically? If so, how? That's it. The actual Daydream action, though, is pleasing – headlines are presented as if you were using Flipboard, but the article's lead image glides up or down behind the words gracefully, before transitioning to the next item. New Android App: Basis Health-Tracking

While there’s certainly no shortage of wearable health gadgets these days, the $200 Basis watch packs enough fancy sensors that you’d probably look like the hypochondriac version of Robocop if you wore them all separately. That all the data the watch compiles is synchronized to a straightforward website and new companion Android app helps as well.

As for the watch itself, there’s an optical blood flow sensor that captures your heart rate, a three-axis accelerometer that acts like a suped-up pedometer and pulls double-duty to analyze your sleep quality, a perspiration monitor that gauges the intensity of your workouts, and a  sensor that measures how much you’re exerting yourself by comparing your skin temperature against the ambient temperature around you.

Oh, and it tells time, too.

I first met with Basis CEO Jef Holove way back in October of 2011 as his company was preparing to launch the watch, but it ended up getting delayed until late November 2012. Here’s a look at the finally-finished product, along with the companion Android app the company announced here at CES:

Polaroid's 10-inch M10 tablet for $229

Polaroid introduced a 10-inch tablet at CES 2013, alongside a 7-inch tablet, in its attempt to compete in the tablet wars. The Polaroid M10 tablet, like its smaller counterpart the M7, has a 1,280x800-pixel IPS display and runs on Android 4.1. Both tablets also have a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and the option of expandable storage.
The M10 differentiates itself with a quad-core processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera, 16GB of internal storage, and HDMI connectivity. The M10 will be released in spring 2013 for $229.

The M10 sells for a great price at $229, but the 1,280x800-pixel resolution isn't as impressive on the M10 as it is on the M7. Compared with top-selling tablets larger than 7 inches, the M10's screen resolution is nothing to write home about.

Both the Google Nexus 10 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 tablets cost more than the M10 but offer higher resolutions, a standard that continues to be raised every year. The Nexus 10 has a resolution of 2,560x1,600 (299 ppi) and the Fire HD 8.9 has 1,920x1,200 pixels (254 ppi).

T-Mobile Launching update Samsung Galaxy S III With 4G LTE Support

T-Mobile is the smallest US carrier, and it was also the last to announce a cogent strategy for the deployment of 4G LTE. Yes, after years of insisting to no end that HSPA+ is 4G, the magenta carrier is rolling out LTE. As part of that move, new phones are going to be needed. The first device designed for T-Mobile's LTE is a revamped version of the popular Samsung Galaxy S III.


T-Mobile has not yet said when the updated S III will arrive, but it will likely replace the HSPA+ GS3 in the carrier's lineup. Most of T-Mobile's phones have no support for LTE, thus the new version of Samsung's flagship. It's worth noting that the recently released Galaxy Note II on T-Mobile does have a functional LTE radio. It probably stayed enabled with the LTE rollout in mind.

Some comments made in an investor call today insinuate that the first cities could be seeing T-Mobile's LTE this month. A larger rollout is probably still months away, but this is still huge for T-Mobile customers. T-Mobile plans to deploy LTE on the AWS bands currently used by its HSPA+ towers.  This is only possible because of the additional AWS spectrum it received when the AT&T merger fell apart, but T-Mobile got some juicy 1900MHz space too. The 1900MHz band will be used to beef up HSPA+ (and allow iPhones to run on Tmo) as the LTE rollout happens.
